The Hunt Is On For £6.9m Easter Nest Egg

An ‘egg-citing’ EuroMillions prize of £6,989,367.40 has yet to be claimed in the County of Devon and National Lottery players are being urged to check and double-check their tickets for the chance to claim this life-changing prize.
The lucky ticket-holder has less than a week to come forward to claim this staggering prize – the deadline being 5.30pm on Wednesday 26 March 2008. The ticket, which was bought in the County of Devon, matched the five main numbers plus one Lucky Star number in the EuroMillions draw on Friday 28 September 2007. The winning EuroMillions numbers on that date were 22, 30, 34, 35, 44 and Lucky Star numbers were 4 and 5.
If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to the Good Causes – adding to the £20 billion already raised through sales of lottery tickets since The National Lottery launched in November 1994.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re desperate to solve this mystery and unite the missing ticket-holder with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a difference to somebody’s life. We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.
“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa – someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune! We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the hunt for this Easter nest egg has a happy ending!”
To jog EuroMillions players’ memories, on Friday 28 September 2007, Run, Fat Boy, Run starring Simon Pegg, was showing at cinemas across the country, while Sean Kingston topped the singles chart with Beautiful Girls.
Closer to home, Plymouth Argyle FC fans were preparing for the following day’s home game against Wolves, which they drew 1-1 in the Coca-Cola Football League Championship, while audiences at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth, were enjoying a production of The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, Parts I and II.
With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket. Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
Anyone concerned about lost or unchecked tickets may like to consider either setting up a National Lottery Subscription, playing online at www.national-lottery.co.uk, on their mobile phone, or by using the Sky Active service on digital TV.
