Global Opportunities For Local Organisations
Biotechnology and medical technology organisations throughout
the South West of England attended a gala dinner, hosted by
BioApproaches South West, to discuss the impact of globalisation
on the industry.
Delegates heard from James Wilsdon, keynote speaker and Head
of Science and Innovation at Demos, as well as Nigel Green,
International Trade Adviser from UK Trade and Investment, and
Dr Gagan Lushai, Head of BioMedical, South West Regional Development
Agency.
Dr Pauline Lee, Manager of BioApproaches South West, said: “The
event was a huge success and a fantastic opportunity for those
working in the region’s biotechnology and medical technology-related
areas to come together and discuss important issues. Hearing
about the ever-growing Chinese and Middle Eastern markets is

Our aims are to work with our peers across the globe to develop
