SMX London 2017

SMX London 2017

Staying on top of all things search is easier said than done. With over 1000+ changes to Adwords and Bing Ads reported in the last year, we’ll be heading to SMX London (23rd-24th May) to listen and learn from some of the world’s top experts. If you’re planning a visit, don’t forget to make use of our Montage Communications special 15% discount code below.

Having had a sneaky peak at the show’s agenda, here are the sessions we think you’d be mad to miss:

SMX LondonOn day one we’ll be checking out the morning’s ‘Killer paid search tactics and techniques’ session. A perennial favourite of delegates, this year David Walker of Segmatic and Elizabeth Clark of Dream Agility will explain how the speed in which SEO is developing is making last year’s search techniques obsolete. Higher levels of performance require new strategies and in this session, David and Elizabeth will be sharing top tips, tools, as well as their secret sauce.

‘Future proofing your SEO’ is also on our agenda. Hannah Thorpe, head of SEO at white.net will be offering her insights on future technical best practice. What will be the next algorithm change that could damage unprepared websites, and what new trends should we be looking out for that will be a good investment? Hannah is also discussing technology solutions that have gone by the wayside, including the method of making AJAX indexable Google has now abandoned.

On day two ‘Faster: How to develop content that converts more quickly’ caught our eye.

Bill Hunt, president of Connecticut-based Back Azimuth Consulting will be explaining how we marketers frequently overlook substantial data available from social media, call centres and CRM databases; all of which can create content capable of capturing qualified leads and generating sales. Using real life examples from Fortune 100 companies he’s worked with, Bill’s presentation shows us how to mine for this data and maximise its potential by developing content plans to take our programs to the next level.

Most of us are pretty proficient when it comes to Google Analytics, but in Ayat Shukairy’s”Fun with Google Analytics’ presentation, the co-founder of Invesp, highlights the real power of this tool. Add Ayat’s presentation to your agenda to find out how Google Analytics’ can improve performance across all disciplines – from SEO, PPC and beyond.
